Singapore Market May 24

Singapore market rebounced after the previous week decline. The tussle between the bear and bull isĀ  still going on.

As a long term investor, especially one that had brought earlier in March, now is time to sit back and wait. The recovery uptrend is still intact.

As mentioned last week, the Singapore market did took a break. Quite a big one in fact, more than a 100 points from 2241 to 2139 (close to 5%).

Has the bear returned and the bull running out of steam? This week could be the deciding week.

If you had, like me, took out some money off the table last week, you can sit back, take a break and watch the action for now. But be ready, it could well be a time to buy on weakness.

The Singapore market has enormous run last week going right past the 2200 mark climbing all 5 days of the week. With such a huge run up, the market is poised to take a break and take some profit off the table. I am going to too.

What about you?

STI broke 1900 last week despite the global H1N1 flu panic. Taking from the previous SARS experience, most people are expecting the panic to blow over without much effect on the overall market situation.

Since my very first call to start accumulate in March, the market had recovered pretty nicely. We shall see.

The STI ened yet another week with gain. It is not yet clear that the bear is departing but I am still maintaining the strategy mentioned a few weeks ago. Start accumulating.
