Since starting this blog, I had been looking around for informative sites or blogs covering investment in Singapore.
So far I must say it is disappointing.
There are a number of day trading blog which are pretty good but I have not seen any good investing sites.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against day trading. Once upon a time I trade actively too. However I stopped, finding it too stressful for my liking.
There are too many US-centric investing sites around. If you come across any good Singapore or at least SEAsia/Asia investment sites, please share.
Are you buying your unit trust through banks, brokers or online?
With commission of online unit trust retailers half that of banks/brokers, it make sense to use online brokers to save on the charges.
In Singapore, I know of 3 pure online distributors – FundSuperMart, FinatiQ and dollarDex. (Please share with me if you know of others)
Some banks and securities houses like Phillip Securities’s POEMS also allows buying of unit trust online.
Buying online is simple and easy, saving not only money but also time. In future posts, I will be sharing my experience with these distributors.
I’m out of India. Should have done that a good 2 weeks earlier. A good 1 year+ run for my units.
